*Get out of the winter cold and grab a seat at our table for a warm Shabbat dinner full of good food and conversation!*
Sarit and Ari share Jewish backgrounds where Shabbat was a chance to reflect on the week and reconnect with our family and friends over delicious homemade meals. Now, every Friday night we create that space in our Astoria apartment and are always opening our door to new friends in the community. Come join us around the Shabbat table to close out the working week with a family-style dinner full of awesome food, drink, and conversation.
We serve three courses with a guarantee of nobody leaving hungry. We'll have a bottle or two of wine on hand but encourage our guests to bring to bring a bottle of their favorite drink to share!
Below is a *sample dinner menu*. We cook with a combination of recipes that are found or combined and always put our own twist on the dish. We cook with the seasons and try to buy lots of local farm produce. Often we'll stumble across a recipe or ingredient that's so inspiring we can't help but change the meal up.
Assorted dips and Salads
For the Main:
Herb Roasted Lemon Chicken
Figs and Roasted Sweet Potatoes in a Balsamic Reduction
Roasted Root Vegetables
Finish with Something Sweet:
Homemade Pie (vanilla bourbon pecan or a seasonal fruit pie)
