What you will see: MAXXI Museum of Contemporary Art Buro Happold’s Pedestrian Ponte della Musica The Flaminio Food Market The Flaminio Neighbourhood Why not join us for a great Italian cooking experience! Come with me and my friend Amanda to explore one of Rome’s small neighbourhood food markets: the Mercato Flaminio. After a coffee break at our local café, and stopping to buy fresh bread at the Dolce Forno bakery – we will shop for seasonal ingredients for a savoury lunch which we will cook together in our Roman flat overlooking the MAXXI Museum of Contemporary Art. Lunch Details We will have a typical Italian lunch of starter, first dish, main dish and dessert. The appetizer will be a selection of Italian Olives, Sun-dried tomatoes and the typical Italian Bruschetta, served with Prosecco. The first dish will be fresh pasta with seasonal ingredients. The second dish will be Meat or Eggs “alla Pizzaiola” (cooked in a fresh tomato sauce), with a side of seasonal vegetables. The desert will be Italian Artisan-made “Gelato” with fresh butter-biscuits and whipped cream. We will drink water and IGT wines chosen by a sommelier, me! ;) Coffee or tea are included.
