Dinner with Lidija, her daughter, Doris & a friend was like spending time with family. We felt so welcomed into their lovely home. The meal was lovingly prepared with ingredients that they gathered that day at the market. We were treated to a sumptuous seafood feast after enjoying aperitifs on their balcony overlooking the city. Their stories of life in Zagreb were the highlight of the evening. Thank you for a wonderful experience & the feeling of being at home in a foreign city. Truly priceless!

My husband and I had such a lovely evening with Lidia and her partner. It was a real highlight near the end of our holiday. It was fun to walk to a "real" neighborhood and get a tiny glimpse of "regular" life far from our home. The food and wine (and homemade aperitifs!) were excellent. We can't thank Lidia enough for her warmth and hospitality. :)

We enjoyed our evening with good food and good company. I only gave it a 3 for value because we have eaten many meals similar for far less money.

The evening began with cocktails on Lidija's patio overlooking the majestic Upper Town area. Her friend and guest added to the enjoyment and humor in what could only be described as a delightful evening. Dinner was exceptionally well done with an array of perfectly seasoned seafood, fish and vegetable dishes, many of which reflected the local cuisine. It was obvious that Lidija spent a great deal of time planning and preparing a meal with items that reflected our preferences and her notable culinary skills. Her home brewed liquors and Croatian wines complimented a positively memorable meal and evening. Lidija is a gracious, accommodating host whose insights into the local and regional area will no doubt enhance our visit to Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik. I highly recommend the experience!
