A culinary workshop, which will guide you through preparing delicious recipes of authentic Peruvian cuisine and reveal some of its culinary secrets.
Here you can find 3 examples of menu that you can learn, so choose the one you prefer. 

In an informal and friendly environment you will learn the passion and amazing tests of the Peruvian cooking and have fun doing it or simply watching while enjoying a Pisco Sour.
Note: Fish dish "Ceviche" will preferably be prepared on Saturdays as it’s fresh purchased on the same day from the market.

MENU
Appetizers
Cancha (toasted Peruvian corn kernels) / green plantain and sweet potato chips.
Pisco Sour (Peruvian national drink) or Chilcano de Pisco (classic refreshing Peruvian drink served in a long glass topped up with ginger ale).

Starter (Choose 1)
Option 1 - “Papa a la Huancaína” (Potatoes with a spicy yellow chilli pepper/Aji Amarillo chili sauce), a traditional and one of the most popular dishes in Peru.

Option 2 - Classic Fish starter "Ceviche" * marinated with Leche de Tigre “Tiger’s Milk” (ceviche base marinate enriched with ginger, garlic, fresh fish, lime juice and celery) served with sweet potatoes, cilantro.

Option 3 - “Causa Limeña”  (Potatoes with a spicy yellow chilli pepper/Aji Amarillo chili sauce layered with different fillings, e.g. chicken, tuna or vegetarian filling), a traditional and one of the most popular dishes in Peru.

Main course (Choose 1)
Option 1 - “Lomo Saltado” (Stir-fried beef wok style dish served with criollo  rice and baked potatoes), an example of Peruvian-Chinese culinary fusion).

Option 2 - "Aji de Pollo" Peruvian traditional chicken stew in a slight spicy chili and pecan nut sauce served with Criollo rice, hardboiled eggs and black Kalamata olives.

Option 3 - Quinoa Risotto (a very healthy dish of Peruvian Quinoa risotto, reduced in white wine and cooked in vegetable stock with Shitake / white mushroom and vegetables).

Drinks
You will enjoy a Peruvian cocktail or a soft drink.

It is very accessible via public transport.

Hi, I am David, born in Vienna with a Peruvian family background.
I graduated in German and English Literature at the University of London and Journalism at the London School of Journalism but most importantly and rewarding for me was to graduate in 2012 from the Cordon Bleu French Culinary Arts Institute in London.

My passion has always been cooking and after graduating in London I decided in March 2013 to go with my Dad to his homeland, Peru, to explore the world-famous​ Peruvian gastronomy and the history of this fascinating country, an amazing trip and experience I will never forget.

After returning to Vienna in 2015 we decided to give people a taste of Peruvian cooking and I must say everyone has liked it so much that they insisted I should share it with others by organizing cooking workshops.

The workshops will take place in a homely atmosphere in our centrally located flat.

We will focus on the traditional Peruvian cuisine with its rich variety of ingredients and flavors. The workshop can’t be without a traditional Peruvian drink, Pisco Sour. You will be introduced to what Pisco means to Peruvians and how to best make it. There will be a degustation of internationally awarded Pisco Cascajal, which will be our brand. 

I will be happy to see all of you in our workshops and I am sure you will become fans of Peruvian cuisine.
