Join us on an organic hands - on cooking class

This is a  special wine tasting at a small wine producer from Montalcino. You will be tasting 2 wines (Rosso and Brunello) and DOP extravirgin olive oil.
You will be  introduced to the wine world from the production to the wine aging.
You will be tasting:
1 Rosso di Montalcino DOC
1 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG vintage 2012
You will also be tasting products from the farm such as:
Half-seasoned and seasoned Pecorino-cheese
Home made salami from cattle raised on the farm (to dies for!)
Home made ham from cattle raised on the farm (same as above)
Home-made “Capocollo” (ham from the part around the neck of the animal) from cattle raised on the farm
We leave Podere Salicotto at 4:45pm and come back at 7pm.

Paolo and I saw this lovely farm for the first time in a late afternoon of 12 years ago and it was love at first sight. We jumped on this adventure and year after year, brick by brick, the farm has risen. Take care meant having a new life and abandon old habits; We have learned to appreciate the little things that we forget in city life: the stars, the fireflies and the moon ...
The other major change was the concept of time: first every minute was programmed; here time has acquired a new dimension, is not an external element against which struggle but an internal rhythm that reflects the nature and movement of today.
We welcome you in our world where you can fall in love like us in a late afternoon of 12 years ago.

Io e Paolo vedemmo questo incantevole podere per la prima volta in un tardo pomeriggio di 12 anni fa e fu amore a prima vista. Ci siamo buttati in questa avventura e anno dopo anno, mattone dopo mattone, il podere è risorto. Prendercene cura significava avere una nuova vita e abbandonare le vecchie abitudini; abbiamo imparato ad apprezzare le piccole cose che dimentichiamo nella vita di città: le stelle, le lucciole e la luna...
L'altro grande cambiamento è stato il concetto del tempo: prima ogni attimo era programmato; qui il tempo ha acquistato una nuova dimensione, non è un elemento esterno contro cui lottare ma un ritmo interno che riflette la natura e i movimenti dei nostri giorni.
Vi diamo il benvenuto nel nostro mondo dove potrete innamorarvi come successe a noi in un tardo pomeriggio di 12 anni fa.
