We are Nadia and Matteo Caretto. Together we run Terra Manis, a home restaurant born out of a labour of love and embracing life. Interested in taking up a cooking class where you get to learn tips on Italian cuisine? What about wine-tasting? We offer these and more. We seek to create memorable cooking and/or dining experiences for our guests, taking your dietary preferences and requests into consideration. Cooking is one of the ways through which we get to combine and share a mutual passion with others, as well as exchange stories on life, other places and different cultures. Matteo is an Italian musician/sound engineer, currently based in Rome. He is fluent in English and Italian. Having lived and worked in Los Angeles for 3 years, while also traveling to countries like Brazil and Thailand, Matteo appreciates and has a natural curiosity about other places and cultures. He cooks from a base of family-owned traditional recipes. He provides the main muscle in our pasta-making classes. Nadia is a professional actress from Singapore who continues to pursue her love for the craft here. Since moving to Rome in 2014, she has become a regular performer in the local English-speaking theatre network and hopes to expand her portfolio to Italian companies, piano piano, as they say in Italiano. She is currently learning Italian and already speaks it at a simple, conversational level. Coming from a melting pot of cultures that is Singapore, she is always interested to see how tradition can combine with modern tastebuds in creating fusion dishes. How she said, she is thankful for having a base of traditional recipes to cook from, especially when the homesickness bug bites from time to time.

This was easily one of the highlights of our trip for my brother and I. Nadia and Matteo were so warm and welcoming that we instantly felt at home when arriving. They were also super informative on how we were making everything and I learned way more than I expected!! Would highly recommend to anyone thinking about it!
