About your host, Yuma: "After working in America and Europe, I moved back to Japan and started a company that offers walking food tours in Tokyo. I now have a greater appreciation of Japanese culture after living outside of Japan and spending so many hours in the office for my previous corporate job."
What to expect
Had a wonderful time, and ate the most delicious Tuna Bowl ever in Tsukiji! Would definitely recommend for an inside look into these two markets :)
A must-do tour. Our guide was a charming and knowledgeable gem. He was able to answer all questions about buildings, different fish and food items, and why some vendors were more significant than others. He was also an extremely thoughtful and considerate host throughout the tour. We got to experience so much during our time with him. Everything we sampled was the best. I would take this tour with him every time I’m in Tokyo. Thank you!
Really excellent night of exploring Shinjuku and sampling a delicious variety of foods at wonderful restaurants. Had my first ever Lemon Sour while watching chefs expertly whip up okonomiyaki. Best karage ever at a stand up restaurant near the Godzilla Hotel that I returned to repeatedly later in my trip bc it was so good! Very sweet and knowledgeable guide, and a night of cool food experiences. A great experience all around.
Awsome experience with Yuma ! Food was not only excellent, but presentation was refined and well balanced. Sake and Shochu pairing was also very great and generous.
This experience offers you amazing food and drinks but also a lot of information about wagyu beef, sake and Shochu.
