Meet Camila
Born in Buenos Aires and raised in the U.S, I lived in Barcelona for 15 years, until recently moving to Berkeley, California. I am married to a Spaniard and have two children born in Barcelona. In the past 10 years I became increasingly interested in cooking and eating delicious food while nourishing and caring for our bodies. After receiving my Ph.D. in Humanities, I studied health-supportive cooking in Barcelona, New York, and Berkeley. My cooking is for both pleasure and also health-oriented. We love to travel; for a few years now we have been active home-exchangers. We love to meet people from other cultures and celebrate the idea of EatWith to offer visitors a (culinary) glimpse into the cultures we know best. To me food means culture, community, sharing, pleasure, health and family. I currently teach Spanish and Mediterranean cuisines at schools all around the Bay, including 18 Reasons, The Cooking School at Cavallo Point, and Ramekins. I am also Academic Dean at Bauman College for Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts. But I love cooking for people at home!
