Join host Emilio's table for a California-Caribbean dinner using locally sourced, organic and seasonal ingredients, in an eclectic San Franciscan apartment, by Alamo Square. 

The evening starts with a sultry welcome cocktail, followed by a menu seasoned by the “Spice Trail” cuisines of The Caribbean with a modern Californian twist. African, Spanish, Taíno, and Middle Eastern flavors come together to make up traditional Dominican dishes. It ends with Emilio's renown "coquito" for dessert - a creamy coconut-rum dessert.

Filled with ground turkey, lentils, tomatoes and mixed-olives. 
All homemade. Lightly fried in vegetable oil. Served with homemade salsa verde.

Oven roasted chicken and shrimp served  with homemade sauce: mixed tomatoes, chickpeas, onions, garlic, cilantro, olive oil and red wine 

Slow Roasted Chicken & Shrimp in Red Wine Sofrito Sauce

A classic cooked with turmeric, saffron, onions, garlic, and chicken broth with a hint of lemon.

Spanish Yellow Rice

Thanks to the Farmer’s Market, it celebrates the city’s vibrant flavors. It’s always different, because I take advantage of seasonal ingredients at the peak of their freshness

 It is no coincidence that my last name, Mesa, translates to “table.” I was born to be a host. 

Why are sit-down dinners so powerful? The underlying main ingredient is the community aspect. Every guest is a surprise. It tears down people’s perceptions of borders, allowing them to meet and “break bread” with different nationalities, races, genders, and socioeconomic backgrounds. 

The best way to make lasting memories, in a new city, is through a dinner party.
