Join host Emilio's table for a California-Caribbean dinner using locally sourced, organic and seasonal ingredients, in an eclectic San Franciscan apartment, by Alamo Square. 

The evening starts with a sultry welcome cocktail, followed by a menu seasoned by the “Spice Trail” cuisines of The Caribbean with a modern Californian twist. African, Spanish, Taíno, and Middle Eastern flavors come together to make up traditional Dominican dishes.

Filled with ground turkey, lentils, tomatoes and mixed-olives. 
All homemade. Lightly fried in vegetable oil. Served with homemade salsa verde.

Oven roasted chicken and shrimp served  with homemade sauce: mixed tomatoes, chickpeas, onions, garlic, cilantro, olive oil and red wine. 

Slow Roasted Chicken & Shrimp in Red Wine Sofrito Sauce

A classic cooked with turmeric, saffron, onions, garlic, and chicken broth with a hint of lemon.

Spanish Yellow Rice

Thanks to the Farmer’s Market, it celebrates the city’s vibrant flavors. It’s always different, because I take advantage of seasonal ingredients at the peak of their freshness.


The San Francisco Salad

It's the native spiced rum of The Dominican Republic. The elixir's first use traces back nearly 500 to the native Taino people. It's a smooth blend of rum, herbs, spices, and honey.

 It is no coincidence that my last name, Mesa, translates to “table.” I was born to be a host. 

Why are sit-down dinners so powerful? The underlying main ingredient is the community aspect. Every guest is a surprise. It tears down people’s perceptions of borders, allowing them to meet and “break bread” with different nationalities, races, genders, and socioeconomic backgrounds. 

The best way to make lasting memories, in a new city, is through a dinner party.
