The food was amazing. Elaine is an excellent chef and the food couldn't have been better. However, it was not an outstanding Eat With event after having been to many of these in the past. How this differed from other "Eat With" events: 1) The chef cooked for us and spent all her time in the kitchen. For other Eat With Events, the Chef is an integral part of the evening socializing with the guests. Elaine is very pleasant and social, but spent all of the time cooking our meals in the kitchen. 2) There was only one other couple and they had different menus that we did. This was extremely strange and awkward especially since they were served their first course before we served ours...a good 10-15 minutes before we had our first course. We have NEVER had this happen at an Eat With event and with being the only other couple made us uncomfortable, but didn't seem to bother the other couple (who were friends of the host) If there is only one other couple there is a chance that you may not have much in common with them. For the many other Eat With events, the food is only half of the experience, we have enjoyed the people and learning the area like a local with at these events while dining with others. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. Elaine actually does home event catering and then participates in the Eat With program. As I feel Eat With is more than having a meal in someone's home, the experience was a disappointment. For others that want someone just to cook a fantastic meal for them and eat in their home, this may be a better experience...just not an Eat With one.

We had a grat evening at Eliane's. The food was great... We had burrata with tomatoes and olive crumble as a starter, Boeuf Bourguignon with purée de pommes de terre de Robuchon and last but not least meringue with cream and berries. Everything was very delicious. We brought our own wine but we could have bought some there as well. All in all it was a very nice experience.
