The dinner is cozy & tasty, the music is jazzy and we are eager to meet you :) We'll start the evening with a tasty combo of Romanian matured cheese & sausages paired with some Romanian wine 🍷 Then we'll invite you to try my caraway soup 🥣 - based on my mother's recipe - & a traditional pork&vegetables Romanian stew, based on an old royal recipe 🍲 We'll end the evening with a delicious apple tart or a beloved Romanian dessert: "gomboți", sweet dumplings filled with delicious plums.
Our home is situated in center of Bucharest (near Piata Romana metro station).

STARTER
Romanian goodies Romanian matured cheese & traditional sausages, paired with walnuts & our favorite Romanian red wine. I will also invite you to try a traditional vegetable spread very popular here in Romania called "zacusca". The one I serve is made by my mother.
SOUP
Caraway & onion soup I'm not sure if this soup is 100% Romanian or 100% traditional, but is the soup my mother used to cook all the time. And it's pretty delicious :D
main course
Pork stew Our favorite Romanian stew - is made with fresh vegetables & pork and the recipe is based on a royal recipe written by Princess Margareta of Romania. I serve it with "mamaliga", Romanian polenta. After this course, I will invite you to try a traditional Romanian spirit made by my father- it's called "ţuică".
DESSERT
Gomboți - a traditional dessert For dessert I'm gonna make one of our favorite Romanian desserts- "gomboți", sweet dumplings filled with delicious plums or apricots (depending on the season).
If we don't have them in season, I'm gonna bake an apple tart. Apple pies are a very common dessert in Romanian houses and I gave mine a twist by turning it into a tart & serving it with vanilla ice cream.
