My friends and I booked Aakash Trivedi for a 4 course dinner plus wine pairing for a bachelorette party weekend in Virginia Wine Country in November of 2017. We worked with the Aakash to create a private dinner at a house we would be renting to make it extra special for the bachelorette. Aakash was a pleasure to work with, responding promptly at all times and worked with us on various dietary restrictions and preferences to create the perfect menu! We were a group of 7 that would be arriving a bit on the later side to a house we rented, but we worked with the owner to let the Chef enter the premises. Upon our arrival, we found a beautiful dining room set up, complete with china and various stemware, and not to mention the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen where the Chef was already at work. In addition to the Chef, he brought along a friend who is a Sommelier in training, George, who organized all of the wines for us. In addition to the 4 courses we had agreed to, the Chef threw in a few surprises along the way (think French cheese plates and bone marrow) that put this meal over the top (in a great way!). Each course was better than the last, with flavors that tied in wonderfully together and with the wines chosen by George. It was on par with any hot restaurant in New York at the moment, and both Aakash and George ensured that everyone was having a good time, spent time explaining all the courses and wines, but also made sure they were not too intrusive when the conversations got a bit silly. Our menu was: The meal kicked off with Champagne and a Fresh Peach Gazpacho (with the most delicious thyme and garlic croutons). Then we moved to Bone Marrow dip, and a Garlic Dip for the vegetarians. The next course was a Butternut Squash ravioli with shrimp, brown butter, sage and fresh black truffle (minus the shrimp for the veggies). This was paired with a light and refreshing white wine. (sorry can’t remember the names now). The next course was a cheese plate with various cheeses from around the world including a truffle double crème brie that was to die for! The main course was a Coffee rubbed short ribs with Gouda Grits (Portobello Mushroom Teak as a veggie option) served with a complex but light red wine. Finally for dessert Aakash outdid himself with TWO desserts (I may have begged for a taste of multiple desserts) and made Masala Chai Crème Brule and a Chocolate Lava Cake, both of which were a wonderful ending to a absolutely fabulous meal! Aakash also cleaned up and left the kitchen and dining room spotless, you would not have known they were there at all! I would highly recommend Aakash to anyone considering attending an Eat With event, or booking for Private Events. He was a pleasure to work with, and his food was next level delicious. Don’t hesitate – book Aakash Trivedi before he books up!

Chef was fantastic and food was the best I've ever had! We were not disappointed! Such a fun experience! Excellent, excellent, excellent! Each dish was perfectly prepared and he was happy to accommodate us in any way he could - more or less of each sauce/broth, cooked medium rare or medium well, etc. He made sure to tell us where each ingredient was from and his inspiration for each dish. Incredible experience!

Aakash was a phenomenal host! He was extremely helpful in helping organize for our "girls' night out". Aakash provided a tailed menu just for us based on our preferences and dietary restrictions. The atmosphere was perfect! We had a great time and loved the food! The wine pairing was great. Highly recommend a dinner with Aakash, we can't wait for our next!

Eat With offers a unique dining experience where you are up close and personal with the chef and other diners. Our dinner with Aakash was nothing less than superb. Aakash walked us through the preparation of each course providing stories of his inspiration for each dish. The result - beautifully prepared food, exquisite cuisine, and great conversation. Aakash’s blend of Indian dishes with a modern flare would rival any restaurant in the DC area. This is a meal you do not want to miss. Thanks Aakash for a great night. We will definitely “eat with” you again!
