What to expect

Our day with Mandy was great! It was so cool to tour the market and local farms, truly a unique experience. Mandy was very open, knowledgeable, and curious, and we had a great time learning about Vietnamese culture, tradition, and everyday life from her. After the walk we went to her house to cook cook lunch and eat a delicious meal. One of the best experiences on our trip, worth every dime and more!
It was fantastic! Manh is such a nice person and showed /told us so many interesting things. So we could learn a lot about vietnamese culinary and culture in general. We would recommend it to everybody. Thank you, Manh! You are such a wonderful human being.
Amazing experience--it was really a culture and politics lesson disguised as a cooking class. Mandy, who is as charming as can be, met our cab and took us through the market, past the meeting building where local leaders were having their (males-only) meeting, and then into the farm collective, where we learned about agricultural practices and the role of Vietnam's government in farming. We then strolled back to her cool, clean home and made a delicious meal together, continuing our conversations. By the end of the experience, we could string together the meeting, the market, the farm, and the multigenerational home and understand how socialist policies and cultural traditions shape village life.
Such a great experience! Mandy welcomed us in her village, showed us the local market and community gardens. Then we cooked at her house and shared lunch with her family getting to know a little better the Vietnamese culture.. Highly recommended 😉
