Meet Jakob
I'm a self taught home cook who enjoys being in the kitchen all around. I'm comfortable learning new techniques. The things I enjoy most is baking (specially naturally levained loafs), fermenting and pickling, using my cast iron cookware, grilling, smoking and poaching eggs. I enjoy, as much as the cooking itself, the whole relationship between people when cooking, the vibe of offering something nutritious to someone else. One of the most selfless activities I can think of. We are also dog lovers and have already rescued three stray dogs. They were our first children before we welcomed our baby, Santiago, earlier this year. I have lived in Europe, first in Germany for a year and 6 more in Barcelona afterwards, and tasted different ways of living the food, experienced how the cultural background of a person/city/moment imparts a strong influence in the culinary result. I like to press that kind of influence in the food I cook.

The food was awesome, the chef and his wife were very kind, the apartment was lovely and we had a great time chatting with all the guests. And the food was awesome.
