An Autumn Garden Party in Ithaca

Tonight's event is inspired by my mother's favorite eating past time: a smorgasbord! Defined as a large gathering of a wide variety of different foods, a smorgasbord is the perfect atmosphere for an evening spent socializing with your close friends and family and there's sure to be something for everyone in all the unique choices available! This is an event especially for our locavores, those who love artisinal foods that are locally and organically sourced. Straight from the garden is our favorite motto!

Garden-to-Table Smorgasbord—Fresh, Local, and Organic

Fresh herbs from the front porch garden invigorate the palate and enliven the boring old starter salad.



Mediterranean Salad 

Hand rolled pasta infused with fresh basil from the garden is delightfully paired with a light and creamy coconut-milk fredo sauce and garnished with fresh roma tomatoes.

Garlic-Basil Ravioli with Kale Pesto Stuffing 

Large cabbage leaf stuffed to the brim with fresh hummus, tomatoes, cucumbers, sprouts garnished with fresh oregano, thyme, marjoram, and more!

One of my fondest memories from childhood was running home from school to barrel through the door at home to the smell of freshly baked french baguette that my mother was just pulling out of the oven for dinner that night. My mouth would water as I envisioned the crispy crust and soft insides melting in my mouth with buttery goodness. Yumm! As an adult I learned that food could be so much more than just quick flash of good taste, it can also be a way to heal your body and gather people together to invigorate your mind and soul.  As a consummate foodie and a lover of entertaining, I love the opportunity to share my passion of food with all those who come to sit at my table.
