Meet Xabi
I was born in San Sebastian in the Basque Country, a land of great chefs. I soon realized that cooking was my passion, and I began studying cuisine at the age of 18. I started working in restaurants all around the country and know the secrets of this magical cuisine as well as some tricks for how to create art on your plate. I later decided to try working in some of Spain's most famous restaurants and had the honour of working alongside some of Spain's best chef (El racó d'en Freixa and Casa Marcial, each with two Michelin stars ). These were eight years of great sacrifice, and after this, I started a new career to follow my desire of doing new projects, but still related to cooking. I started teaching cuisine and curating the gourmet section of a local TV channel (L'Hospitalet TV), advising several bars' and restaurants' menus, and leading projects relating art and cooking. During this exciting 5-year season I harvested great experiences and memories. But besides all this, I was missing a place to cook my own way, a small place to host occasional gourmet dinners. I thought the best way was a home that allows me to combine life and this idea of private dining. I've spent a lot of time looking for the right place, but it was worth waiting and today, I am happy after 3 years of "Club Gastronomico Sant Rita". Being an EatWith host is a great adventure, which allows me me to share my cuisine with the guests in a very intimate and personal way.

The overall atmosphere was great. The food was delicious and Xabi and his team were all very nice. Xabi was also very accommodating to our special needs (one vegetarian and one vegan - we let him no in advance and it was no problem).

This was a fantastic food and wine experience! Xabi prepared an amazing six course meal. He explained each dish before it was served and answered any questions we had. All the wine paired perfectly with each dish. While Xabi made each course, we were able to watch him put together his dishes. This was an overall amazing experience and I highly recommend spending your evening with Xabi!

With a warm welcome, glasses of wine, fresh bread, six courses of delicious food, and the company of other "foodies"... this experience was memorable and completely satisfying. Xabi and his staff were VERY accommodating. I would highly recommend reserving your spot as soon as possible!
