Meet Regina
A native philadelphian, gourmet and wine wonk, I was raised by a polish immigrant mom and a blue-collar dad who fancied himself the galloping gourmet on weekends. I have an exuberant passion for all things food and have been cooking extensively for 30+ years. Intrigued by the intersection of cuisine and culture, I find simple pleasure in breaking bread with neighbors and inherent joy in feeding others. After spending a year and a half traveling through Europe, where I worked alongside a chef-owner of a small brasserie in Lyon and herded goats on a dairy farm in the mountains of the Auvergne while learning how to make an outstanding chevre, I’m thrilled to be back in the most underrated food city in America!

Dinner at Regina's was a real treat. The meal offered an excellent representation of Philly favorites and they were prepared to perfection. To compliment the food, a lot of care and thought were also put Into the wine pairings which featured smaller artisanal selections that are not widely found. Regina also has a beautiful setting to host with a generously sized dining area and roof top deck which offers views of some nearby center city attractions. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a unique Philadelphia dining experience.

Don't be put off by the three flights of stairs--the walk is worth it! Our charming hostess/chef welcomed us into an airy spacious dining area capped off with a surprisingly roomy deck with twinkling lights. The seven guests were an eclectic mix of urban and suburban eaters eager to dive into whatever was placed in front of us. And we weren't disappointed. Courses were leisurely paced with enough time to chat and get to know each other. Food was across the board excellent and perfectly portioned, although chef probably could have used someone to help serve and plate so she might have had more time with us (although the open kitchen allowed her to be part of the conversation ). She handled serving and clearing graciously and unobtrusively. Substitutions for one guest who was vegetarian didn't seem to pose a problem either. A highlight for me was the scrapple appetizer. For someone who never cared much for it, I'm now a convert! This extraordinary meal went slightly longer as our group had the most fun interacting with each other and our host. When you consider this became a whole nights entertainment, not just our meal, it was quite a bargain! What an altogether great experience!
