San Sebastian Pintxos food tour

Hop on the train and visit the only organic, experimental farm in the Basque Country. Learn about organic farming practices and projects, followed by a tasting of what's being grown! 

• First you'll enjoy a mid-morning pastry, then you'll get to taste the season's harvest
• A drink of local cider is included
• The farm is an 11 minute train ride away from Donostia, and a 10 minute walk from the station to the farm
• Communal farm visit and produce tasting for 2 to 12 people
• For each person who joins the experience, part of the proceeds are donated to a local soup kitchen and an organization that helps refugees

About your host, Cristina: "I have a degree in communications and another in Culinary Arts. I've worked as a guide through Spain, Portugal, Barcelona and San Sebastian, which is my favorite foodie city. Plus, in the Basque culture, absolutely everything revolves around what you're going to eat, when you'll eat it, and with whom!"

My name is Cristina and I crossed the world for food and wine to study a degree in Culinary Arts in the Basque Country. I fell in love with this country completely reassured my passion for food and discovered a love of meeting new people and telling stories through eating, and now I've decided to combine them both. 
I have a degree in communications and another in Culinary Arts, I’ve been a food tour guide for 4 years and I absolutely love it! I've worked as a guide through Spain, Portugal, Barcelona and San Sebastian which is my favourite foodie city that's why I live here. Plus in the Basque culture absolutely everything revolves around what you're going to eat, when you'll eat it, where you're going to eat and of course with who!
My tours are walking ones or involve public transportation so as to keep groups small and personable, this way you also become part of daily life and it's a little more sustainable!
The experiences I've designed aim to create a positive social impact on the city. This means you'll get to meet local food producers, enjoy a pintxos (Basque tapas) walking-tour, experience a traditional ¨Gastronomic Society¨ dinner, discover the city on a morning sweets or market tour and; for each person who joins the experience I donate part of the proceeds to a local soup kitchen and an organization that helps refugees. These experiences are for passionate foodies who love trying new things and also want to give a little back to the city they visit!
