Hello! My name is Sara and I am from the North of Portugal, where the sense of tradition and food are part of the day to day basis. The most iconic portuguese dishes come from the North and what I am trying to do here is show you a little bit of this magical food culture! I live in Lisbon for a while together with Mariana and big part of the products that we use at our home they come from my parents farm. The meat, the vegetables, the eggs, the potatoes, the fruits and so on. For us, this is travelling, being welcomed into local's homes eating what they eat and feeling what they feel. What we do is cook a true Portuguese meal, with fresh and good products available on day to day, respecting the seasons and what we get from them. This includes a few starters, a main course and some sweet to finish the meal. Wines and beverages are included and we never miss the bread.

Starter
Potatoes, Cured Ham, Eggs This is the kind of dish that simply take me home everytime I eat it. Very simply but full flavor and totally addicted. Fried Potatoes, grilled cured ham and eggs! some chopped parsley and onions on the top and voilá!
"Alheira" "Alheira" is a traditional sausage made with with meat, bread and fat. served all around Portugal.
Starter of the Season Wherever is the season, I will prepare a starter according to it. Keeping it traditional and 100% portuguese.
main dish
Portuguese Roast 2 hours and a half of meat in the oven, it can be pork. Adding, of course, small roasted potatoes on the same juicy sauce of the meat. Onions, Garlic, peppers, thyme, tomatoes, white wine and the most amazing Olive oil! At the end you just want some bread to soak in the sauce.
Fish I will not put any specific dish of fish here, because honestly it depends on whatever the market has. It can be either Octopus, Codfish or local fish.
Going Green Despite my love and affection for a good piece of meat/ fish and I am trying to give more time to the veggies and grains and seeds. So if you are vegetarian, please come on in, I promise I will prepare some delicious food for you!
DEssert
Portuguese traditional conventional desserts
Wine Lovers
Portuguese Wines The second thing I love more than food is Wine! Mainly from 2 regions: Douro and Alentejo and with Portuguese Grapes. Some can be a blend , others monoclasts. White our Red, Dry or Fruity, you choose!
Natural Wines It been a while that the Natural Wines are reaching the market, and honestly they are fascinating! From biological to bio dynamic, wines are an incredible thing !
