October Authentic Sicilian Flavours Special Dinner

Proudly Calabrian, I've been managing a sports marketing company and organization of events for more than 15 years (so many years have passed?). Manager happily engaged in everyday life, I have always lived for work with the suitcase always ready. Despite the nomadic professional life, since 2013 I live fairly permanently in Sicily, in the splendid and chaotic Catania. Viscally loving the sea, I consider it as one of the most beautiful gifts 'cause for a good Calabrian (see above) the sea is part of myself and my DNA. In my spare time I like writing, reading, taking long walks and taking care of my "zoo" which consists of two cats and a small Jack Russel. And of course, of my partner too (oops!). I am passionate about new projects, creative ideas, the possibility of always building something new. I like to know that I do not know where I'll be tomorrow. I decided to create a Home Restaurant because when I lived in Cesena I founded a cooking school and, obviously because I love cooking and I never get tired of meeting new people with whom share a piece of my life. To those who decide to cross the threshold of my door, know that mine is a simple but refined, minimalist but colorful cuisine, the result of the contamination of my wanderings but that finds in the vastness of the products of Sicily the central pivot around which the inspiration of my dishes rotates. And last but not least, that my mother-in-law really likes!

Orgogliosamente calabrese, gestisco una società di marketing sportivo e organizzazione di eventi da più di 15 anni (sono passati così tanti anni?). Manager felicemente impegnata nella vita quotidiana, ho sempre vissuto per lavoro con la valigia sempre pronta. Nonostante la vita professionale da nomade, dal 2013 vivo abbastanza stabilmente in Sicilia, nella splendida e caotica Catania. Amando visceralmente il mare, lo considero come uno dei più bei doni che la vita mi abbia voluto fare perchè da buona calabrese (vedi sopra) il mare fa parte di me e del mio DNA. Nel poco tempo libero mi piace scrivere, leggere, fare lunghe passeggiate e prendermi cura del mio "zoo" che si compone di due micioni e di una piccola Jack Russel. E, naturalmente, del mio compagno. Mi appassionano i nuovi progetti, le idee creative, la possibilità di costruire sempre qualcosa di nuovo. Mi piace sapere di non sapere dove sarò domani. Ho deciso di creare un Home Restaurant perchè amo cucinare e non mi stanco mai di conoscere nuove persone con le quali condividere un pezzetto della mia vita. A chi deciderà di varcare le soglie della mia porta di casa, sappiate che la mia è una cucina semplice ma ricercata, minimalista ma colorata, frutto soprattutto delle contaminazioni del mio girovagare ma che trova nella vastità dei prodotti della Sicilia il perno centrale attorno a cui ruota l'ispirazione dei miei piatti. E poi, cosa non da poco, piace tanto a mia suocera!
