A word about the experience
Join me and my parents in one of the most historic apartments in the centre of Athens which is currently owned by the descendant of one of the most prominent heroes of the Greek War of Independence of 1821 Constantine Kanaris, famous for his exploits against the Turkish, and his effective use of fire ships in destroying her fleet. Following the end of the war, Kanaris became a Greek Navy Admiral, a Regent of King George I of Greece and he served as the Prime Minister of Greece seven times.

What to expect
What a wonderful experience in a historic home from the 1600’s (was originally an olive press). The presentation and warm hospitality were fantastic. Maria and her cousin, who also hosted, were both so engaging and knowledgeable about the island. We all enjoyed the traditional Greek food, prepared with such care. Our whole party heartily recommend this EatWith. It was an unforgettable and rare evening.
