Dining In Rethymno: An Evening Of Cretan Cooking

Learn how to make typical local specialties from the world-famous Cretan diet in a traditional home with an outdoor kitchen! Androniki will teach you to make a selection of traditional Greek appetizers, mains and desserts, and then you'll be able to enjoy them!

The cooking class place takes place outside using Androniki's wood oven, homegrown produce (vegetables) and homemade ingredients (olive oil). From classic Greek dishes like kremidokalitsouna, Chortopities and Sfakianes pites to homemade drinks like Raki, you're in for a treat! 

Expect plenty of food and delicious Greek wine, traditional Greek hospitality and great company!

Hello, 
my name is Androniki and I live with my husband in a small, traditional village close to the town of Rethymno. 
In this village, Loutra, I grew up and created along with my husband our own family.
I am cooking for my family and my friends for many many years while my husband is growing season vegetables and fruits for our needs. My knowledge around cooking comes from our mothers. 
We enjoy Cretan cuisine because we grew up with its taste and aroma.
We like to take care of our land and produce our own olive oil.
We love that our children (in contrast with fast-food era) learned to cook their healthy daily food. 
So, today that our children have gone away to their own homes, we have the pleasure to host guests from all around the world in our house. We cook, taste and share with them, the magic of the traditional Cretan cuisine!!!
