When and Where we meet:
 - We will meet at 4PM(It's a bit early for dinner but it's to avoid crowds.)
 - Ueno Station, Central Exit, In front of Hard Rock Cafe

What we will do:
Take a walk through Ueno area and go to 2 or 3 local izakaya restaurants. (Izakaya is Japanese pub restaurants, where we can enjoy foods and drinks.)  There, you can enjoy drinks and Japanese tapas and see many Japanese salarymans (office workers) who enjoy drinking after their work. During the tour we will walk along exciting Ameyoko shopping street where various products such as fresh fish, foods, clothes, and bags are sold. You can enjoy street foods if you like.
At the end of the tour, on your request, we will recommend you the next place.

Highlights:
The izakaya we pick up are the places only for local or very difficult for tourist to go by themselves. With us, you can enjoy local foods at local places.

About Ueno:
Ueno is an area that is enveloped by the rich downtown atmosphere of Tokyo. And it's easy access from a lot of major spots in Tokyo, as it's just a train ride away on the JR Yamanote Line if you’re coming from Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Akihabara. 

Please note:
 - Most of the places are smoking allowed.
 - Please bring some cash for street foods and additional drinks. Credit cart may not be accepted.
 - Come with comfortable clothing and shoes.

We will go to 2 or 3 izakaya and order a few tapas, for example, yakitori, tempura, sashimi, karaage, ham cutlet, and etc.

Hi, I am Miyuki! I studied in the states when I was young and had enjoyed working with foreign colleagues at European banks in Tokyo for about 15 years. Now I study Japanese cookery and fine art in school. I have travelled more than 30 countries. I always try to have local foods at local places because I believe it's the best way to know the cultures, people and their lifestyles.
I am also a Japanese foodie! It's my passion to explore and find nice Japanese restaurant without guide book. I often hang out with my friends from abroad and my choice of Japanese restaurants is always appreciated.

Let me introduce Koichi, my life partner and also drinking partner. He used to work as a video game creator and now is a gallery manager and takoyaki cook. Many tourist comes to the takoyaki shop and he enjoys to interact with them.

This is more important than anything, we are foodies and love izakaya hopping in Tokyo!! We will be pleased to show you the best of my city, through the tours.
