Organic dinner in an 18th century Florence farmhouse with a view

Enjoy a delicious Italian dinner made with organic produce in a beautiful setting in the Chianti hills. The wine pairing, conversation, music, and view make for a very special evening! 

Momi and Jo will serve a typical Italian Aperitivo, followed by 2 courses and dessert. You will eat in their home in the hilly outskirts of Florence (in Chianti). It is a beautiful and special spot among olive groves, vineyards, pine and oak trees.

We'll probably start with our local pecorino cheese accompanied by onion or quince cream and focaccia or crackers. Everything homemade by us.

Aperitivo

It will probably be homemade pasta, perhaps tagliatelle with sage or ravioli with spinachs and ricotta. This will depend on what local producers have available at that moment.

First Course

This course will include meat, which is what goes best with our riserva wine. It may be pork sausages and pancetta with fennel or veal with sage. All accompanied with a light salad and/or vegetables from the season.

Second Course

Dark chocolat cake - because this is what goes best with a very special wine we have for you!

We live in the hilly outskirts of Florence in quite a special spot, among olive groves, vineyards, pine and oak woods. Coming from big cities and having lived abroad for many years, the wealth and variety of Italy's fruits and vegetables inspires us every day and the pace of the Tuscan countryside allows us to enjoy it. 

We believe in the importance of respecting nature and that's why our cooking follows the year's seasons, avoiding chemically treated products.

Although we pursued very different paths in life (Momi, a Milanese, is an architect and Jo, a Spaniard, works producing cultural events), we have always loved cooking for family and friends and that's how we first met... cooking for our children's after-school playgroup! 

Many dinners, lunches and picnics went by before we thought to join forces and organize some special experiences where we could share our culinary abilities and classic Tuscan flavors with others.

The area, Impruneta (a small Chianti village with a precious square and church), is 12 km from Florence by a nice uphill road that goes through olive groves, vineyards and old Renaissance villas. It looks at Florence from the top - 20 mins driving, 30-40 mins by bus. Often Jo's partner sits with us for lunch or dinner and if you bring children our three children would also be happy to join!
