Hi, my name is Ondrej, I spent a great part of my life cooking in kitchens in different parts of the planet, which have been awarded Michelin stars. I am also the finalist of the Czech round of the Bocus d'Or cooking competition. I very much like to limit my cooking experience and love to cook with friends. I love Czech culture and our food since childhood.

Ondrej is a wonderful host. His background and knowledge of cooking is amazing; this combined with his gift for teaching cooking skills in a relaxed atmosphere made the experience both memorable and meaningful. Ondrej made the whole experience fantastic! We shopped for the ingredients - some of the stalls recognized him and offered us little bites - had a honey wine - and the highlight was having wine tasting even before starting any cooking. We then went to his apartment to cook and it was one of the homeliest cooking experience. We made mushroom soup, pork goulash and plum buns - beyond what we cooked, he taught us basics of chopping technique, knife skills and how to make a good poach egg .... the food was delicious! We highly recommend this - to anyone who has 4-5 hrs on a Saturday morning. We just ate our leftovers and it still tasted amazing! :) Thanks Ondrej!

I’ve had few special experiences while traveling but this one was uniquely special because it involved spending time at the local market picking up fresh ingredients, tasting wine, and enjoying the great company of other visitors all before we got started with the cooking. Ondrej’s kitchen inspired me and it was a great backdrop for the day. He taught us useful techniques which I will carry with me as a hobby cook so it wasn’t just about learning how to prepare these classic Czech dishes; it was lots of fun connecting with other people from around the world and preparing delicious food under the guidance of a very special person and passionate cook. I will not only start taking cooking classes in other countries I visit, but I will come back again and do another one with Ondrej. It’s hard to imagine that anyone can top the great time we had yesterday. I highly recommend it, for beginner AND experienced cooks! Thanks Ondrej!
