We will meet in a well-known spot in Venice, Sestiere of Cannaregio Ponte delle Guglie. I will guide you to the Cafe, where the class takes place and we will make the most famous Italian dessert Tiramisu together. While we are learning the preparation of this brilliant sweet, I will introduce you with the story about it and we will take pictures to remind you of this sweet experience. After we will eat it together, enjoying it with coffee. The word Tiramisù means “pick me up”. It comes from the Venetian dialect, “Tira me su”, Italianised into Tiramisù in the latter half of the 20th century. Historical records state that Tiramisù originated in 1800. Evidence of the presence of this dessert over the last centuries, on the lavish tables of a home, is given by our grandmothers and great-grandmothers. These ladies over the age of 80 tell us of the skill and passion they put into the preparation of this dessert for family and friends.
