Alex has Indonesian and Dutch roots and is inspired by many cultures and kitchens. Although trained as a (basic) professional chef, Alex is now working in business, and has a passion for food and drinks.
Sophia loves to share and meet new people. Together they travelled around the world, are open minded, love music and have a healthy, conscious lifestyle. Enjoy good quality food, a relaxed ambiance and good conversation.

Be welcome in our home, a 5 minute walk from the "Grote Bavokerk" in the city centre of Haarlem. The pittoresque, narrow street has plants, flowers and a small book stall and at the end the "Frans Hals museum". The apartment is on the 1st floor and has an open kitchen, living area with a long table for 6 people.

Be adventurous and treat yourself with this home made vegetarian Paddo Burger. It's filled with several paddo's aka mushrooms, pine tree nuts, cheese, herbs, spices, and toppings of choice and some secret ingredients. We serve it with a fresh tossed salad and home made seasoned sweet potato fries from the oven and typical Dutch mayonaise!

The Dutch are well-known for their ongoing battle with the sea and rivers. Living below sea-level is a challenge which is possible because of good water management and of course the fine-meshed dyke-system. To build these dikes takes an enormous amount of energy. And that's what the Dutch Stamppot provides ;-). Nowadays we need to maintain these dikes, which takes a little less energy, so we have come up with an adjusted Stamppot. The main ingredients are potatoes and endive, but this special version is infused with all kinds of spices and vegetarian goodies. Come join us and have a taste of The Netherlands!
