I grew up near Montfort l'Amaury where my dad used to have a restaurant. Some are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, I was born with a wooden spoon in my hand! I spent a lot of time in my father's kitchen where I tasted the dishes, enjoyed all the smells and I watched all the recipes develop before my eyes, to the delight of the customers and mine. After having worked and loved fashion for 30 years, I am now a Therapist, but above all, I'm a bubbly 60-year-old Parisian who get back to my first passion cooking!! I cultivate the art of eating well for the well being, I like the discussions around a pretty table well prepared with a glass of good wine, a small jazzy note in the ear, a cozy atmosphere of candles. I like to explore new flavors, make beautiful meetings where everyone shares their experiences, their travels. I know Thailand quite well as I go there pretty often. It gives me the opportunity to bring back nice spices that I like to add to my dishes. I practice yoga, meditation, I study Buddhism, I eat organic without meat. I like the real, the natural, the authentic in the human relations and on my plate. To sum it up, I would say I love life. If you wish, I propose before dinner as a joyful appetizer, a small walk on the docks with a magnificent view of Notre Dame. See you soon. A bientôt.

Catherine invited us into her home and shared with us a wonderful meal made with lots of heart. Her home is a charming apartment in a former Republican Guard depot between the bastille area and isle St. Louis. Catherine is a gracious host and spoke with us in English and allowed us to practice our French with conversations all night. Catherine shared several courses of organic vegetarian (pescatarian) plates. Her preparation of the rougette fish along with slow roasted anytime vegetables was savory and delicious. Due to regulations Eatwith hosts here are not allowed to sell wine at this time but she was accommodating with us bringing wine and recommended a local store to pick up. The cheese plate she served had a nice selection of goat cheeses as well as semi hard. She made a special finish to the evening with desert of fresh oven roast fig and a fruit tart with sliced fig and preserves topped with a candle for our anniversary. The evening was well worth the cost and provided a personal side to dining in Paris. We highly recommend.

A wonderful evening, great company, nice apartment, but most of all was the food! I would recommend dinner with Catherine any time and, once again, EatWith is the star of our holiday. Highly recommended!

I was happened to be the only guest at Catherine's dinner last night. Catherine is very friendly, heartwarming, and open-minded to all the topics. The meal, from the fish soup starter, fish main dish, to dessert, were all delicious with fresh ingredients! If anyone who comes to Paris and who wants to taste authentic french cuisine with a very culturally cultivated person, then Catherine will be your best choice :)

Our lunch with Catherine was wonderful. We had a salad with fish, a cheese plate, and a peach tart, all delicious. Catherine is genuinely conscientious of food quality and its relationship to health, environment, and animal welfare. Being of like mind we appreciated that. We had assumed but it was nonetheless reassuring to hear from Catherine that she wanted to meet people from around the world. It was fun getting to know a bit of Catherine’s personal history such as her psychology degree. Language was somewhat a barrier, a reason why I didn’t ask her for her French take on some current events. Although this was not as boisterous as other Eatwith lunches we have had, it was intimate. We completely enjoyed it, and greatly appreciated Catherine welcoming us into her home and cooking for us.
