Fergus spent the majority of his life as a passionate home chef, until his late 20's when stepped into a professional kitchen for the first time. He quickly got hooked on the buzz of a busy service, but also to need to explore and experiment far more then what is practical in a typical restaurant. Toward the end of 2019 he decided do induce his own baptism of fire, by launching a supper club serving a taster menu of experimental dishes in his home town. Alkemio is actually the Esperanto spelling for alchemy, Esperanto was a language that was constructed out of the world's languages and had no real home. Fergus aims to take inspiration from cuisine across the world, combining ingredients, flavour profiles and formats in ways you have not seen before, all the while elevating each dish with technique and presentation to make it unforgettable!

It’s an amazing dinner and will do it all over again. All courses were super creative, hearty and tasty. Sauces Fergus used to pair with the dishes were even more surprising and creative. I love how we all try to guess what’s in that jammy sweet sauce. Well done Fergus and team. Thanks for a lovely night. Look forward to hearing about the food and wine pair event ;)

Amazing experience, highly recommended. Fergus is a brilliant chef, we loved the way he mixed flavours. Duck mass-am curry was a spectacular dish that could be served in Michelin star restaurant. Quirky location complemented by nice atmosphere and music. Wish Fergus and his staff all the success they deserve.

The event and the food amazing, just one comment as it is a BYO offering ice buckets would be useful. Great Chef and interesting and tasty menu, would go again.

A lovely evening, they were running a little late but put money behind a local bar for us while we waited. The taste combinations in the food was amazing! Course after course we couldn’t decide which was our favourite. The sweet courses taste pairing were a little imbalanced but believe this was due to some technical difficulties as it was their first night. Would definitely recommend eating with fergus!
