Our Private Chef experience is the ultimate way to host a dinner party. Whether it's in the comfort of your home or our home where we host our supperclubs, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy your time with your friends. We'll work with you to create a bespoke menu or you can choose from one of our signature menus. 

This experience is for a party of 10-14 in our dining room in Islington. If you'd like us to come to your home, we'll bring the cutlery and crockery and all you have to do is provide the linen and glassware. 

We can cater for any dietary requirements and can guarantee that your guests will be talking about the food for days to come!

Pratap Chahal, has cooked at Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s, Chez Bruce, Cinnamon Club and Galvin Bistrot, amongst others. He is accompanied by his wife Nikhat, who looks after Front of House.

His food is inspired by his travels around the world, life in London and his Indian heritage. There’s nothing more comforting than going out for dinner and feeling like it’s your own private party. At chez Hungry Chef, the atmosphere is exactly that! Diners end up staying for hours, chatting away over several glasses of wine, in a dreamy food coma. Conversations flutter from travel, food, antique furniture and art, to life in London and the infamous British weather. Also, there’s usually a last minute surprise or two thrown in by Pratap and his wife.

Pratap spent 18 months travelling around the world, eating and drinking his way through the best restaurants, cafes and markets.

Based around the cuisine of the Indian subcontinent, the dinners take inspiration from the royal houses of India, Pratap’s world travels and great British seasonal produce.

The menu changes monthly, giving you the opportunity to sample Pratap’s vast repertoire of food and even get a chance to improve your food knowledge.

Disclaimer: Whilst we do all we can to accommodate dietary requirements, we cannot ensure 100% allergen free menus for some allergies due to meals being cooked in a kitchen that uses/stores Nuts. Dairy, Wheat/Gluten, Fish, Sesame, Soy, Celery, Egg, Sulphites and Peanuts. There may be some cross-contamination that may occur but we will do our utmost best to avoid this as much as possible.

We also have a cat who is very friendly and loves attention and is generally around during our dinners. If you have an allergy, please take an anti-hystamine before coming (we also have some spare just in case). If your allergy is severe, then we would recommend not attending.
