You will learn how to make your own cheese in a food design studio in Amsterdam. 
We will first meet at a coffee place in the Tenkate Market. Here we will take coffee, have a quick walk through the market and head back to the studio. This way you can get a glimpse of the area to continue exploring after the workshop. At De Kaasserie, you will make two types of fresh cheese, first one coagulated with rennet and then one coagulated with acid. When finishing their acid-coagulated cheese, participants are encouraged to experiment with herbs and colors. There is then a tasting with homemade cheeses and a drink to finish up. Participants may take with them their two pieces of cheese and the basic tools and receive recipes (via email) in order to continue experimenting with cheesemaking at home. It's a beautiful experience, the discovery of a craft, and an open door into a whole new world of possibilities. To be empowered make and create your own cheese at home.

I have been working with cheese making at home for over ten years and I am very passionate about it. I have done this from s food design perspective, and offer participants a very unique and creative way approach the craft. They learn the basics of how to make cheese at home and are invited to explore the craft on their own. It's the beinning of a journey in food making.

The sessions are not only learning moments but very much a great social experience. I love hosting people, it is my other passion. I have lived in Amsterdam for 14 years, which allows me to share much about this beautiful city, and I have live in four other countries before, which makes me feel very much at home with internationl visitors.
