6 Course Southern Aegean Tasting& Wine Pairing //China Town

Travel the Greek islands in an intimate pop up restaurant in Chinatown as Chef Mike takes you through land and sea with entirely handcrafted recipes. You'll tour his 6 course menu, which changes depending on availability and season, and gain a greater appreciation for Greek cuisine. 

We will be pairing all courses with a Greek wine or cocktail for additional purchase. 

His recipes come straight from Kalymnos, a small Southern Aegean island in Greece, where his family calls home. Some maps don't even show it. It's that small. But the flavors are gigantic. 

All southern European food tends to get tossed in the "Mediterranean" genre. Personally, Michael doesn't appreciate that designation. Southern European, and especially Greek food, is fantastically regional. His great-grandma's 'fila' (or dolmas) can't be found at the next island over. It's specifically from Kalymnos and nowhere else. 

Michael can't wait to host you and present an unforgettable Greco-culinary experience. It is sure to be a memory to look back on and smile.

Growing up Greek on a corner in Brooklyn in my grandmother's kitchen, I learned generational recipes. This catapulted me into the culinary world of the Southern Aegean where I found my passion. 

I have a degree from Harvard in Greco-Roman history and left that world behind in search of my true calling--cooking traditional and elevated modern Greek food. 

It's not all Mediterranean. Greek cooking varies so much by region I would call my approach to each plate as Southern Aegean cooking. I'm an island boy down to the bone. 

Come eat real Greek food. I'm not talking souvlaki and gyro. I mean the real stuff you get in people's homes while also tasting the way we're doing today.
