Growing up in Iran, where every single meal is a feast and our gatherings are based around vibrant and plentiful dishes. I fell in love with the art of Persian food which was nurtured, with age old recipe passed down through the generations; and the warm art of being present at every meal, not starting until every person was seated, and not leaving until everyone was finished. To this day I mostly make Persian food and my heart will always be there, while I definitely experiment with all the other cuisines as a professional chef, the way I learnt to cook at home is always at the base of every dish I create. After a 20 year career in teaching, it wasn’t easy to completely switch paths to give my passion a go, but after my first supper club in 2014, and a lot of encouragement from so many, I knew it was the right path. Since then I have enjoyed being a tv chef, working in Michelin star restaurants and writing for food cookbook. But my passion for health, the art of cooking, and creating community and a society which brings joy and change to peoples lives is still my main drive, and I feel that my supper clubs really nurture that desire and make me a very happy chef :)

Having been to a couple of Bita's supper clubs before, I wondered if this one would be as good. It was! Her food is just divine and she is always so charming, warm and hospitable. I could eat her food every day. I will definitely go to the next one if possible.

Wow, Bita, is all I can say. I LOVED your supper club and was really impressed with how you catered for my vegan diet. The food was delicious and too much of it, the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and I want to come to your next one. Thank you and thank you for letting me have those delicious olives at the end of the evening!

Had a lovely night at Bita's Persian Feast! Food was delicious with fresh ingredients that were perfectly cooked. The saffron rice was particularly good and subtly flavoured, as was the rice pudding dessert (what can I say, I like rice!). Olives were amazing. Bita was a great host, would definitely recommend.

Wow, the food alone was one of the most interesting and most delicious flavoured dishes I've ever eaten. Can't wait to eat crispy Saffron rice with pistachio topping again. Also the chief Bita was an excellent host, with a great energy and happy to tell us lot's about the ingredients she's using and entertaining facts about Iranian Culture. It was a very lovely intimate atmosphere, allowing me to get to know the people around me. Definitely worth doing if you love food and meeting people.
