I learned L'Arte D'Arrangiarsi — the art of creating something from nothing — from my Italian family while I was living in Italy. It's my way of expressing what it means to cook by feel, instinct, and momentary inspiration. I apply this Italian philosophy to my food creating dynamic, ingredient-driven dishes for private clients in Los Angeles. Each year I return to Italy to visit with friends and family. While abroad I learn new skills, techniques, & dishes in addition to bringing back inspiration that I then pass onto my clients. Now, I would like to pass this experience onto you.
This upscale experience is reminiscent of Gjelina...meeting new people, enjoying handmade artisan dishes, seated at a large farm table in my dining room that my partner & I affectionally call "La Sala Tiramisu". As you make your way to the table you'll see fine Italian & Sicilian ceramic dinnerware, Murano water glasses, & hand blown Italian wine glasses, with Tuscan linen napkins adorning the table transporting you back to a fine dining experience in Italy. Your excursion will begin with handmade antipasti that I've had the pleasure to learn from my auntie when visiting in Taormina, followed by a course of handmade pasta tossed in one of my signature organic sauces. Next, you'll have your choice between land or sea for your main dish carefully prepared with the perfect contorni (sides). Of course, no dinner would be complete without dessert served with espresso & a couple glasses of wine to compliment the food.
