This day is about honoring Venezuela. For me, it's about sharing all of what makes me so proud of being from there: the food, the music, the stories. I just visited Venezuela a couple of months ago, I was scared, blinded by all the horror stories coming from my own family and friends. When I arrived, I was reminded of something I had forgotten, and nobody had reminded me of and instead of being scared I felt, with tears in my eyes and for the fist time in years... at home. I belong to a country where people are strong, where people never give up, where hard work is a blessing, where people say good morning, where there's always space in the table for one more and where whatever is mine, is yours. I know where I'm from and now my path is clear; I will continue to learn, grow and succeed and through events like these and one by one I will let everyone know that Venezuela is rich! If you're not Venezuelan come and let me show you what we're all about, if you are then bring a friend and let's celebrate together! In this space we're all happy to share a good time! Welcome to a little piece of Venezuela! See you there.
