an Apericena is a cross between a Happy Hour accompanied with tasty tidbits, and a proper Dinner . And when something like that happens on a Friday night things get bubbling! Especially so because, heading out of still stifling hot and noisy city center and heading for the cooler climate and quiet of the hills south of Bologna puts everybody in a relaxed mood ready to enjoy and savor the evening. There will be chill-out music, flowing local sparkling wine, Pignoletto, a rich buffet of appetizers , a pasta bake and of course desserts. We get our inspiration from the plentiful organic produce we source from nearby farmers : seasonal fruit and vegetables and some of the typical, locally cured meat This time , among other things, we celebrate the eggplant or aubergine. This generous summer fruit that plays such an important role has in Mediterranean cuisine. Its versatility is non-pareil and we decided to interpret it in ways not usually explored by restaurants or households alike......but then that's the whole point in exploring dining experiences outside the beaten track and with a fabulous view!
