Would you like to enjoy a Christmas dinner in a traditional Catalan home?
We are Anna and Nacho. We were born in Barcelona and currently living in Madrid. We are passionate about authentic cuisine and new dining experiences and we learnt all about Catalan Cuisine from our grandparents and parents. Our Christmas time relish to Catalan traditions, emotion, feasts, and celebration. Warm, original and sophisticated. We invite you to taste an authentic Christmas feast in our home, with “Villancicos” (Christmas carols) and a glamourous table among friends.
We will enjoy a quirky Catalan tradition: the Caga Tio. It is a small log of wood with a painted face and two front legs, which appears homes every year on the 8th of December, on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Children keep the log as a pet until Christmas, feeding it and keeping it warm. They believe the log will grow if they feed it properly. On the 24th December, kids have to beat the log with a stick until lots of presets appear under the blanket that covers the log. We wish you the best Christmas in town!
