Kibbeh Workshop - Semolina Dumplings in Aromatic Soup
Address provided after booking
Kibbeh is a unique dish made only for Shabbat or special occasions in Jewish-Iraqian family kitchens. The dish is made of semolina dumplings stuffed with savory meat and served with different kinds of aromatic soup. From spicy to sweet and sour, to deep and rich broth based soups, it's sure to be the most comforting dish you have ever tasted.
There are many ways to prepare Kibbeh. Some prefer to boil the dumplings in the soup and others prefer to deep fry them. But I like to cook them slowly in broth or stews.
In the workshop portion of this event, I will give a short introduction to the world of Israeli-Jewish cuisine. Then we will learn to make Kibbeh dough, along with prepare the savory meat filling. From there we will hand roll the dumplings and I will show guests how I like to slow cook Kibbeh while offering two different kinds of soups.
After the aromas have enticed our tastebuds, we will sit to enjoy the delicious soup and finish the event with dessert and infused tea.
Come and join me on a journey of flavors in a family environment.
Cheers to new friends!
