This tour will guide you through a special place few people see up close: Pier 45. Pier 45 is where the majority of local seafood is landed, purchased, and processed in San Francisco. I used to work on the pier and I have strong connections with the people that work there. I have extensive knowledge of the operations on the pier.
We will start by toasting mimosas and briefly chatting about traceability, sustainability, and local seafood species. Next, we will tour San Francisco's best sustainable seafood suppliers' warehouses. You will be able to see up close the catches of the day and the processing of the seafood, and you will get to meet the amazing individuals and teams dedicated to truly sustainable seafood.
