The concept behind dining without light was created in 1999 in Zurich, Switzerland by a blind member of the clergy, who wanted to convey the experience of blindness to the sighted. The basic concept is that the removal of vision enhances the other senses, and increases gastronomic pleasure.
About your Chefs: Certified Master Chefs, Sean Andrade, and Michael Ryan of AWG Private Chefs will be chefs for the evening. These two gentlemen possess the skills certification and expansive training that less than 200 chefs hold worldwide. Priding themselves on using only locally sourced, organic, sustainable, and GMO free ingredients in their cooking, they have developed a philosophy that food should be a feast for all of your senses!
