Italian comfort food: a nostalgic Italian story in four courses

Americans have mastered comfort food. There’s no doubt about that. From creamy mashed potatoes to mac and cheese baked under a layer of breadcrumbs, there are lots of options to choose from. But Italians make some of the most comforting dishes in existence! Heavy on the carbs and sauced up, with an unapologetic use of cheese, Italy has a quite comprehensive repertoire of soul-warming dishes. We will start with a fresh zucchini gazpacho, topped with cheese and basil. Main course is a meatloaf with a colorful fingerling potato medley, followed by a refreshing strawberry salad. The perfect ending will be a delightful mascarpone & coffee custard topped with crunchy hazelnuts. Menu does not include alcoholic drinks, except for a welcome glass of Italian bubbles.
