Unmatched in all of Barcelona, this event brings together cuisines from across Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, the Caucasus and Central Asia. It focuses primarily on locally sourced, organic produce but also on the many special herbs, spices and exotic ingredients which define the food and customs from these regions.
Hosted on a magical penthouse rooftop in the historic neighborhood of El Born, you will be whisked away by the incredible panoramic views of Barcelona with a chance to watch the sunset and see the stars as you try new soul food and organic wine surrounded by fellow locals and travelers.
The Silk Road connected eastern and western civilizations in means far beyond trade. Political, philosophical and technological influences flowed in both directions but more importantly the world, in the eyes of its distant inhabitants, became larger, more dynamic and more open to communication, cooperation and development.
In a testament to the transcontinental exchange of goods and ideas by many of the regions along the Silk Road (several of which the hosts originate from) and to the incredibly diverse and culturally rich world which it helped foster and to which we now happily belong, we bring you this menu in tribute.
