The Mediterranean sea has influenced very much in Catalan peoples' character, it has been the entry door of many civilizations and cultures that have fulfilled its history and has given shape to Catalan culture. But not all is sea. To the North the impressive Pyrenees rise up and form a natural border where rural world is attracting passionate farmers who are recuperating tradition at the same time that are innovating on food process.
From Southern Pre-Pyrenees towards Pre-coastal range there is a natural depression, called Central, where agriculture of cereals, almonds, hazelnuts, olives and wine stands out.
CATALAN CHEESES AND WINES is a good-fun-event aimed to enjoy artisanal cheese, singular wines and meeting new people while knowing more about Catalan culture. An opportunity to get involved in some way with the hard work of local artisans. There will be 5 cheeses, 5 wines. Their selection has been focused on best quality, which normally means low production and big research.
This tasting workshop is addressed to everyone: to those who have already knowledge in wine and tasting procedure and want to discover more wines and more cheeses; and also to those who are initiating and want to catch more. It is really for everyone who wants to spend two hours of good fun, quality wine and artisan cheese. Is there anything else better?
Note, there will be the possibility of video-projections' support to visualize Catalan geography and its relief besides technical sheets of the products we will taste.
