Cooking Class (European): French Crêpes and Turkish Kahve
Address provided after booking
Master two famous European dishes and delight yourself, your lover, family, or friends. French kitchens don't have crêpe makers. Not because these machines are expensive and cumbersome, but because homemade crêpes (made on regular pans) are the originals and are incomparably better. You will not only learn the process of making perfect homemade crêpes, but will master it so well you will be able to improvise with the batter and the ingredients to make your own healthy (or decadent) magic, both savory and sweet versions. Similarly, Turkish coffee (Kahve) is not only about experiencing the flavor explosion from a small cup, but about the ritual of roasting the coffee at home (the aroma will go all the way down to the street), grinding it with your own hands, brewing and drinking it as a ritual, and then being told your fortune from "reading the cup." You will meet new friends and leave with the bodily memory of "flying" the crêpes and hovering over the coffee roasting and foam formation. Plus, written instructions to take home. This experience takes FOUR HOURS and is limited to SIX PEOPLE.
The simplicity of this creation will be something you will always come back to.
Savory. Use the memory of some of your favorite dishes and make a crêpe version of it. Three steps to culinary joy.
This is a dessert art. There are rules. And within the rules, there is all the freedom you can handle.
Hands down the best soup pasta ever.
Aroma of roasting coffee would be enough for the day.
By hand. Everybody must help here.
Do right by the coffee and it will give itself to you.
