Home-baked cookies and glorious teas (while we play a fun boardgame)
Address provided after booking
Come join in a tradition of ours - cookies, cookies, cookies, boardgames and tea.
We love to play games but in particular Jungle Speed and Dominion. We also love to eat cookies and drink tea. So we combined both these activities a while back and it's something our friends look forward to when it happens :)
If you're new to Jungle Speed or Dominion, don't worry we'll teach you - both games are quick to learn and fun to play. Both games are also well known internationally so you will be able to find other players around the world on your travels too!
[Are you a gluten free? Don't worry, you can play and eat cookies with us too! Give us some notice and we'll get a batch of gluten free cookies into the oven. Get in touch to discuss further! ]
The cookies are simply DELICIOUS. Even the Cookie Monster couldn't resist them! (duh). Our gang of super awesome home-bakers put together a surprise assortment to try (and some to take home!). Don't worry, these cookie superheroes shun boring supermarket packet style cookies in favour of unique recipes and experiments that feature the attributes most sought after in cookies/biscuits - a tender crumb, moist chew, melt-in-mouth fillings, moan-inducing chunks (and just general moan-inducing deliciousness). Ok we should move on before we get shut down for indecency in our descriptions...
In case you're wondering, yes we will have some of those famous Aussie Tim Tams on hand in case you're not from around here just so you can try doing a "Tim Tam SLAM" (sort of an adult version of dunking an Oreo).
I used to work in a library so sharing a cup of tea with a guest is a time honoured tradition and second nature. When I travel, my suitcase is half filled with teas to share (you've got to try the Melbourne Breakfast from T2) and when I come back, there is always a pile of new teas to try to remind me of the places I've been and the people I've met.
We have dozens of teas for you to try with the cookies - our favourites are from ranges from T2 (Australian) and Mariage Frères (France). All tastes (black, green, herbal) are catered for. If it's really damn hot, we'll do iced teas!
Did you miss your morning coffee and are getting the shakes? If you're getting desperate, sure ok, we can take the edge off with Illy coffee made in stovetop Bialetti percolators.
