Unfortunately, minimal cooking and minimal learning in this class. Mainly you are eating what the host has already prepared for you. This includes some of the main entree and dessert already pre-made.
My husband and I were originally scheduled for class Tuesday at 7 pm but the host wanted to re-schedule us to Thursday evening the same week for a better experience with more people. On Tuesday she messaged us asking where we were and after multiple messages back and forth finally remembered that she herself had re-scheduled us to Thursday. When we arrived at 7 pm on Thursday an hour of the class had already passed by, apparently the class on Thursday started at 6 pm. During this hour the group had already cut Swiss chard and prepared flour for the gnocchi. Unfortunately, for us there was no communication from the host regarding a reschedule on time or that our class started at a different time on Thursday.
During the class we met some very nice people in the group and Marie and her husband have a beautiful home, however, apparently even in the hour we missed there is not much teaching - the group mainly cut Swiss chard and kneaded flour during this period. The host is very disorganized regarding communication and for the price you pay you can enjoy a beautiful dinner elsewhere in Nice. When we arrived an hour later she was not apologetic, nor did she acknowledge her mistake, instead she just asked us if it is ok that now we are just eating instead of actually participating in the class.
Furthermore, the review she wrote for my husband and I was actually meant for another family and their daughters. Overall, we were very excited for this experience but her advertising is misleading. Due to the host and her disorganization we missed an hour that we paid for, hopefully, this was just a one time mistake with us. Fortunately, we met some very kind people and enjoyed a pre-made dinner on the terrace which salvaged some of the evening, but if you are looking to learn how to cook a dish go elsewhere.
