I come from a big Italian family where all the important moments happen around the table. This is why for me being around the table is more than a moment for eating: it’s also for talking, for the enjoyment of your tastebuds and your brain, sharing, and getting closer to each other. My family has always organised a lot of dinners for friends and family. My first memories are of me watching my parents prepare one of these dinners, observing and learning where all the flavours come from, or helping my aunt prepare homemade “gnocchi” for the family restaurant. In Italy, half of my family is from the Alps and half from Sardinia, so both of these amazing traditions have influenced my cooking. After almost 5 years living in Spain, enjoying the spanish tradition of sharing tapas and learning a lot of new tastes and recipes, I decided to join the Eatwith community as a host, to share with new people this tradition of coming together around the table.
