My husband and I recently moved from South Africa to Nice, France where the next chapter of our adventure started, which also inspired my blog name - MIEL-MEEL. Miel (french for honey, pronounced me-yell) + Meel (afrikaans for flour, pronounced me-eel) connects my past and present. MEEL symbolises my past and everything that grounds me. It is the base of my life just as South Africa will always be my foundation. MIEL symbolises my future, sweet, sticky and usually messy when worked with but hopefully what our adventure in life, love and food will be like.
