We are Giannis & Konstantinos. We are brothers. Our love and avocation with food starts from our childhood, when we were going for holidays with our grandmother, we learned the basic principles of Greek traditional cuisine. Now one of us is α professional cooker, while the other is studying the Greek musical tradition, as a percussionist, and has kept his love for good food. But in Greece, a meal to be considered successful, needs pleasant companion. That is why you are welcome to dine with us. You can taste the most famous traditional Greek dishes & wines and enjoy the amazing 180° view of Athens (Acropolis, Mount Lycabettus, Hill of Hippio Colonus) Some information about the area: In Colonus, a historic district of Athens, there is the hill of Hippio Colonus, which is besides an important green lung, the connection of the ancient with the modern capital. In Hippio Colonus there was the mosque of Erinous, the tomb of Oedipus, as well as the hero of Theseus, Pirithos and Adrastos. Nowadays you can see the marble plaque of Sophocles, the monuments of archeologists Charles Lenormant and Karl Otfried Muller and the Colonus Theater. Near the Hill of Colonus is the Plato's Academy, a big park where the great philosopher taught. Find us: Facebook: /localchefinathens Instagram: eatwithgk

This dinner is one of my favorite memories from my trip to Greece! Giannis and Konstantinos know how to prepare and host a dinner. The food was all delicious, and I only wish I could've eaten more of it! Their apartment is very clean, trendy, and has an amazing view of the Acropolis. We ate dinner on their balcony. I appreciated the food and conversation!
One of my favorite experiences during my 2 week vacation in Europe. The food was one of the best meals we had, and incredibly generous portions for all 12 courses. Konstantinos and Giannis were the sweetest brothers, and the perfect team. and just in case the evening wasn’t spectacular enough, I had let them know it was my sister’s birthday earlier in the day, and they made her a beautiful chocolate cake with candles and sparklers! A very special evening and I recommend it to everyone. If you’re unfamiliar with Athens, I’d recommend a taxi ride. We stayed near the city center and walked. It took 30 minutes to reach their home, and some areas were a desolate and we were a little nervous at times. I’m sure it was safe enough, but a 5 euro cab ride makes much more sense!
What a wonderful experience! G & K prepared for us the most amazing dinner with a fantastic array of Greek dishes. And it was lovely to hear from G and K more about Greek cuisine and more generally about life in Athens. And piece of advice - if you choose the Feast menu, come prepared with a huge appetite; the food is so delicious you will want to eat more and more! We would hugely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Athens. 5 stars.
It was such an interesting way to spend an evening in a new city, I'm so happy it was recommended to me. Sometimes when traveling you want a local experience but you can't just knock on a random door when a terrific smell is coming from the kitchen window. Eat with G & K basically made that possible though. We had a little trouble with the elevator which made it seem like we were sneaking in, which added some excitement. When we walked in it was just like we were meeting old friends for dinner. It smelled amazing, and the many flavors throughout the night did not disappoint. Long story long, you won't regret booking this experience, just make sure you come hungry and maybe wear elastic waist pants or a lose dress.
